Decoupaged Shuttle
Had to try my hands at decoupaging a shuttle. I like Tinkerbell. I found some stickers near greeting cards at a store. The directions were ones that Lace-lovin' Librarian and Decoromana have on their blogs. The first try resulted in a not so smooth top. Using very fine sandpaper, it was sanded down and restarted. This is the result of the second try. Much better but not perfect. I only did one side. I do have some fabric and two other shuttles to play with. I see a possible shuttle for every holiday in the future!

That is so sweet!!! Love the Tinkerbell shuttle!!! :) Great job!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, looks great. May i ask how you got such a slick clear finish? I have used the decoupage/mod-podge and it always looks cloudy.
ReplyDeleteI used Mod Podge satin in orange bottle (5 I guess thin coats) then satin brush on varnish (2 thin coats). I lightly sanded between coats with very fine sandpaper.
ReplyDeleteThe shuttle looks very nice. Whatis Tinkerbell looking at?
ReplyDeleteShe is looking at a cricket.
